Mizzen+Main: Planning Manager

The Planning Manager will be responsible for coordinating all product planning activities for the breadth of Mizzen+Main’s product line (~50-100 styles). They will be responsible for pre- season forecasting and in-season management of sales, margin, and inventory plans across all channels. The Manager will need to have a strong background in apparel and demand planning to help guide decision making throughout the entirety of the product lifecycle, including identifying post season sales opportunities that remain consistent with Mizzen+Main’s commitment to a no discount policy.

This role presents a tremendous opportunity for growth within the Mizzen+Main organization for those dedicated to building the next great American brand. Reports to the COO in Dallas, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with senior leadership on pre-season and in-season plans to align on sales, margin and inventory strategies across all channels.
-Manage diagnosis of the business and drive course of action.
-Lead process of developing, updating, and enhancing tools and process that supports financial forecasting and product planning
-Understand all cost and margin components of the business to assist all team members in meeting financial goals of the company while adhering to our core values

Pre-Season Responsibilities:
-Develop and manage preseason product sales, margin and inventory plans for all products; determine recommended receipt quantities by style/color to maximize opportunities and minimize risks
-Report on previous quarter results; identify and inform product development and design of "missed sales" and growth drivers over prior year
-Lead pre-season work with product development to create comprehensive style-color level plans, including flow of goods, initial mark-up, average unit retail, average unit cost, net margin dollars / rate plans
-Drive sales, margin and inventory forecasts and strategies for all product categories in quarterly investment review meetings

 

In-Season Responsibilities:
-Provide weekly and monthly updates on business, identifying trends, and highlighting selling that exceeds or falls short of expectation
-Lead monthly OTB forecast meetings for current year in conjunction with the CFO and supply chain; provide sales trend opportunity for future quarters, validate stock-to-sales relationships, maximize receipt flow to improve turn, reconcile receipts and suggest strategies to drive profitability
-Initiate conversations with cross functional partners regarding potential risk or opportunities and suggested changes to course of action for both current and future quarters

 

Requirements:
-5+ years merchandise planning in apparel, preferably menswear
-Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in merchandising, fashion, planning, finance, or appropriate field
-Possess strong project management skills with ability to work collaboratively with all functional areas while being able to work independently
-Strong technical aptitude, including advanced competency in Microsoft Excel, and ability to work in complicated backend inventory systems
-Strong analytical, financial modeling and problem solving skills and enthusiasm for all things data
-Ability to synthesize business performance into key highlights, root cause analysis and action plans
-Strong communication skills and ability to confidently express opinions, especially those in disagreement with consensus whether written, verbal, or presentation based
-A positive attitude and commitment to work hard through difficult problems with respect for all team members -Demonstrated success collaborating, partnering and influencing at all levels and across all functions of the organization
-Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects with tight timelines in a hyper growth, dynamic environment

Mizzen+Main Customer Experience Representative:

Mizzen+Main is hiring an hourly, full time Customer Experience Representative (CER). Representative will be responsible for acting as a liaison to all customers, assisting with all queries, orders, account questions, billing, and all forms of customer engagement. Applicants should have a relentless commitment to customer satisfaction, seek to provide additional value to the company, have excellent communication skills, and be highly detail oriented. This individual will work directly with the Operations and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and report to the Customer Experience Manager. Must reside in Dallas, TX.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Address customer queries via phone, email, and mail.
-Resolve any billing issues.
-Act as first line of engagement with all customers.
-Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges
-Answer questions about all products.
-Grow existing customer sales and ensure customer retention.
-Work with manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.
-Drive customer experience processes to better serve customers through every channel.
 
Requirements:
-Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Mizzen+Main Retail Internship:

Mizzen+Main is seeking an intern to support its Retail department.  The position will report to the Retail Director and work with the Brand Experience Coordinator and VIP Sales Associate on a daily basis to execute a multitude of tasks. Job responsibilities include event support, daily reporting, trunk show prep and execution, in addition to other sales and retail needs. Must be located in Dallas, Texas. Position is available immediately. Intern will work 15-20 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities: 
-Support team with any needs related to order input, reporting, and event planning.
-Work with the Brand Experience coordinator to plan and execute events in our shops.
-Work with the VIP Sales Associate on planning and attending local trunk shows.
-Assist with marketing assets for product launches.
-Assist with the weekly reporting and inventory management for both Retail and VIP sales channels.
-Support ad hoc requests and office management needs.
Requirements:

-Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.

Mizzen+Main Fort Worth Assistant Store Manager:

Mizzen+Main is looking for a highly motivated, responsible, and enthusiastic Retail Assistant Store Manager to work at our Shops at Clearfork Store running from September 2017 – January 2018. Applicants should have a love for fashion and strong communication and sales skills. Reports to the Director of Retail and is located in the DFW Area. Hiring immediately. 


Primary Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable about Mizzen+Main's brand and products and represent the brand to the highest standards at all times.
- Work 5 days a week, including 1 day a weekend (with one weekend off a month). Any store emergencies or fill in for absent employees are your responsibility, even if it conflicts with this schedule.
-Help Director of Retail in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
-Manage sales associates schedules on a weekly basis.
-Complete store operational requirements including inventory and store management and financial reporting.
-Help plan and execute in store events throughout the duration of the pop up shop
-Work with Director of Retail to determine marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
-Maintain consistent and regular communication of business needs and sales updates and forecasting with the Director of Retail.
-Help customer in all aspects including product information, creating a sale, transactions, refunds, and exchanges.
-Assist in the completion of daily projects around the store while maintaining focus on the customer experience.
-Stay well-informed on events and promotional offers in-store and online, providing customers with a seamless shopping experience.
-Participate in properly stocking, replenishing, folding, hanging, displaying and merchandising inventory.
-Understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
-Contribute to team effort by ensuring sales goals are met monthly.
-Ensure on site events are executed successfully and in line with brand standards.

Mizzen+Main is seeking an intern to support its Marketing Department. The position will work with the marketing team on a daily basis to execute a multitude of tasks. The Individual should possess strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and willing to adjust as needed to support the business. Must be located in Dallas, Texas. Position is available from August-December. Intern will have a flexible work schedule of approximately 20 hours a week.

Mizzen+Main Golf Wholesale Internship:

Mizzen+Main is seeking an intern to support its Golf Division of the Wholesale department. The position will work with the Golf Account Executive and the wholesale team on a daily basis to execute a multitude of tasks including order management, marketing, reporting, in addition to other sales and account service needs. The Individual should possess strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and willing to adjust as needed to support the business. Must be located in Dallas, Texas. Position is available from August-December with potential to extend. Intern will work a regular schedule of 40 hours/week and is paid hourly. If travel is required, all travel related expenses and per diem will be reimbursed.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Support daily activities including order management and account services -Support Golf AE with any needs related to invoicing, order processing and inquiries
-Assist with prospecting including cold calls and direct mail efforts
-Green Grass Tournament Support (on-site, travel required)
-Work with the Wholesale Team to support marketing needs (ie: tradeshows, sales and account assets)
-Assist with the management of the Wholesale order management platform
-Assist with the development of processes to increase efficiency of Golf division
-Support ad hoc requests and office management needs
